Advanced Curved Edge 8.5 inch CCS Foam Pad Kit

If you want to polish a large SUV or van, you don’t want to use a 6.5 inch pad. It would take all day! That’s why polishing pads are available in different sizes – so you can customize your tools to your needs. The Advanced 8.5” Curved Edge Foam Pad gives you the ability to speed up your detailing process by covering more surface area, which is ideal for today’s huge trucks and SUV’s.

Smart Pads™ with CCS Technology are manufactured by Lake Country Manufacturing, the maker of premium polisher pads and accessories. All pads have Velcro® brand hook & loop fasteners to secure the pad to the backing plate.

The profile of the curved edge pad is great for buffing around objects in tight spaces. The recessed back prevents contact between the backing plate and the paint surface.

Curved edge pads are available in five levels of abrasiveness to address any surface problem. With the Advanced 8.5” Curved Edge Foam Pad Kit, you get one of each variety, and two microfiber towels.

CCS 8.5 inch Yellow Cutting Pad
This pad has the most cut of any of the curved edge pads. It’s suitable for removing moderate to severe swirls, scratches, and oxidation from older or neglected vehicles. We recommend using the orange pad first so that you don’t use a more aggressive pad than is necessary.

CCS 8.5 inch Orange Light Cutting Pad
The orange pad is perfect for light to moderate paint blemishes. Used with a mild swirl remover, this is an excellent all-around pad. It will take care of most surface problems without using the yellow pad.

CCS 8.5 inch White Polishing Pad
The white pad is intended to apply pre-wax cleansers and polishes. It has virtually no cut and will not abrade your clear coat.

CCS 8.5 inch Black Finishing Pad
This pad is designed to apply waxes and sealants. The absorbent foam is nonabrasive and clear coat safe.

CCS 8.5 inch Blue Final Finishing Pad
This soft pad applies paint glaze in an ultra thin, even coat. It can be used to apply wax, also. The blue pad puts the perfect finishing touch on your paint.

2 Cobra Deluxe Jr. Microfiber Towels(16 x 16 inches)
The Cobra Deluxe Jr. is an incredibly thick, fluffy weave of 70/30 microfiber. Silky microfiber fingers massage any surface to a glossy shine with zero risk of micro-marring. The towel features a microfiber edge and a removable sticker instead of a tag. Use the Cobra Deluxe Jr. to remove wax or for final buffing.

1 Packet of Snappy Clean
Snappy Clean is a powder that dissolves in 3-4 gallons of water – plenty of solution to clean several pads. Just drop your used buffing pads in the mixture and agitate the pads. You may want to wear gloves since the directions caution against getting the cleaner on your skin. Wait up to 15 minutes, depending on how saturated the pads are with product. Rinse out pads with clean water and lay them out to dry. For faster drying, you can put them on your buffer and spin them dry. You may still need to lay them out to totally dry.
