Gemologists have known for years that the secret to the perfect shine is the polishing cloth. Sure the polish itself matters, but the wrong cloth may scratch or dull the jewelry.
For example, a cloth designed for 25 carat gold or certain gems can’t be used on sterling silver because silver is a softer metal. It will scratch.
